Olivia Cece

Olivia Cece grew up in the very small state of Cranston, RI where she danced competitively for 15 years, training at Atwood Performing Arts Center, and spending her senior year of high school at Stars Dance Studio in Miami, FL. Here, she was inspired and pushed working alongside some of the best dancers in the country. She comes from an extremely technical jazz background that also morphed contemporary and improvisation in her later years.

Olivia’s first dream came true, at 18, after saving up her work money and moving to NYC. She started her NYC journey with her acceptance into the prestigious Pace University, Commercial Dance Program. During this time, she made it to the top 15 female finalists on So You Think You Can Dance, season 11, surpassing every genre round of the callback week! While at Pace University, Olivia started training further in musical theatre, acting, vocals, hip hop, partnering, ballet, and more. During her four years there, she auditioned and was cast in pieces choreographed by Chase Brock, Nick Kenkel, Liz Imperio, Robbie Fairchild, Tiler Peck, Rhonda Miller, Dee Caspary, Alexandra Damiani, Pedro Ruiz, Liana Blackburn, and more!

After graduation, Olivia performed in her first show in NYC, “The American Dance Spectacular”, choreographed by Al Blackstone and directed by Dan Levine. Olivia was the youngest of 7 dancers to perform in this 40-piece dance show, showcasing every style of dance through the decades! Olivia then booked Saturday Night Live, where she danced in a skit alongside Miley Cyrus, choreographed by Nick Kenkel. She has done Spec Commercials as a featured dancer for Apple, The NYC Lotte Palace Hotel, Ilo Gear, and Scotch and Soda Amsterdam Couture.

This past summer, Olivia performed in the ensemble of Mamma Mia, at ACT OF CT, choreographed by Jason Wise, directed by Dan Levine, under the musical direction of Bryan Perri. This experience was by far the most amazing one yet, as she was challenged as both a singer and a dancer. When Olivia is not performing, she teaches for GROOVE, the dance convention, judges across the country for The Countdown Competition, and travels to choreograph unique routines for some of the top studios in the U.S. Olivia continues to train daily at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and trains vocally with her coaches.

She hopes to continue to chase all her dreams and inspire the younger generations! Her grandfather always used to tell her, “Knock em dead, or don’t knock em at all”. Olivia brings this saying with her every time she auditions or is about to take the stage!
